Every man dies. Not every man really lives. William Wallace From the movie Braveheart

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Jason Madison Murray who was born in Pekin, ILL on May 16, 1974 to John and Donna Murray and passed away on January 31, 2007 at the age of 32. Jason is a great man and friend to everyone and is so missed. The loss of my brother has been such a tragedy. It has made us think about what life is really about and how quickly it can pass us by. Jason has one sister, Jeannie Granger and one brother, John Brian. Jason has 2 daughters, Marissa and Miranda and 2 sons, Kyle and Tyler. Jason, you are missed so much. We Love You!!!  You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

This poem was found by Tricia. To John from Tricia

Please don't tell me not to cry

Please don't say there was a reason why

You don't know what I am feeling

Or how much I hurt

The wet spots are from tears on the collar of this shirt

You think I should go on with life

Forget about it and be strong

But deep down I am sad, and I don't want to go along

I don't expect you to understand why

For no apparent reason I break down and start to cry

My life has changed forever, you see

And that is why I am not acting like the same ole me

So please don't try to act like nothing happened

Because it's changed my life forever

I will never be the same again

Not today, not tomorrow, but never

The best thing you can do for me is just be there

Just like always, my friend

My broken heart is hurting bad

And it will never mend.

This poem is for my husband and his brother. I Love You John and Jason. From your wife.

TO MY DEAR BROTHER

So much Ive wanted to say

So suddenly you were taken

That I didnt get a chance

How much I miss hearing your voice

How badly Ive wanted to call

How much Id love to see your face, If only just a glance

As the days go by, you think it would get easier

the ache in my heart would fade

but I just miss you more and more

One day I will be at your side, no more tears Ill cry

That day will come when, just as you did

Ill be knocking on Heavens door!!!

Thank you Christi and Marissa. We love the poem and thought the front page would be a wonderful place to put it. It is beautiful. John and Brenda

Didnt know where of if I should put this on here, but it was sent to Marissa from a friend of mine, if it is already on here, just delete it, just thought it was nice ....

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the parents of Jason Madison Murray

Ill lend you for a little time a child of mine, He said,

For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when

he's dead.

It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,

But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay

be brief,

You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief,

I cannot promise he will stay, since all from Earth return,

But there are lessons, taught down there, I want this child

to learn.

I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers

true,

And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have

selected you.

Now will you give him all your love nor think the labor

vain,

Nor hate me when I come to call to take him back again?

I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, Thy will be done!

For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll

run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we

may,

And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay;

But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we've

planned,

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.
